She’s the first Black woman to win the Georgia democratic gubernatorial primary, beating out Stacey Evans to earn her spot to run for governor.

Abrams is a rising star in the Democratic party. She grew up one of five children in Mississippi, graduated from Spelman College and Yale Law School and even wrote romance novels.
